GLIMPse! - CREATE AND EXPERIENCE TOGETHER WITH US
BIT20 Ensemble strives for everyone to be able to find their way into a complex and challenging artistic expression, regardless of age or background. In our GLIMPSE! projects we invite you to compose and play with us.
GLIMPSE! – Experience is for anyone between the ages of 13-99 who plays an instrument. In this program you can work with BIT20’s musicians and play a concert with the ensemble (See more below).
GLIMPSE! – Create is for those with a drive to compose. In this program you can write music for three musicians from the ensemble, with no prior experience required (See more below).

GLIMPSE! – Experience is a unique meeting place for all kinds and musicians: young, amateur and the professionals of BIT20. Here you can experience different sides of contemporary music by playing together with us in a large ensemble.
All are warmly welcome regardless of experience level. Our only rule is that you must be able to make sound with your instrument! Expect thoughtful supervision from our musicians, and remember that you will always be a part of a big team.
Our day-long seminar begins in small groups, where we practice together and become comfortable with the music. Then, all the instrument groups meet for more rehearsing and an informal performance at the end of the day to which you can invite your family and friends.
GLIMPSE! - Create offers motivation to participate in contemporary music’s creative process. In this program you are invited to compose a short piece for some of our musicians. The project is well-suited for those that already write notated music, as well as for those who would like to try for the first time.
In addition to working with our musicians, you will be mentored by an established composer. The program typically spans three months, with three workshop days that include sessions with the musicians, the composer-mentor and the other participants. The program culminates in an informal, public concert.
