Would you like to take part in developing a sound installation and performance for Borealis 2023? The composer Alwynne Pritchard is making a new work for BIT20 ensemble and is looking for people to assist her. You don't need to be an artist to take part and all participants will be credited in the final presentation. The first two stages of development will take place in October. You don't need to attend both events, but it's preferable if you can.

Session 1
October 17th, 14.00 - 16.00
Meet at Ole Bulls plass (by the blue stone)

When we think of finding stones or pebbles, we think of the beach, maybe mountain walks, the countryside. We think of pocketing an object that is good to look at and good to touch. Something to take home as a memento. So, what are stones in cityscapes? And how might they map urban environments and our place in them?

For this first development session, we'll be walking, talking, collecting, documenting, and mapping.

Session 2
October 28th, 11.00 - 14.00
Grieghallen, Klokkeklang

For this second development session, we'll be discussing and testing ideas for how the stones collated might be used as part of a musical performance with BIT20 ensemble. Five musicians from the group will also participate.

If you would like to take part or would like to know more, contact Alwynne at: alwynne.pritchard@gmail.com
