CREATIVE SUMMER SCHOOL
Are you interested in music or visual art? Join Bergen International Festival and BIT20’s summer school!
In five days we will experiment and challenge our own creativity. How can different sounds come together and form a musical expression? How can we create visual art expressions as pictures and sculptures with different materials and objects?
This school is for you who sing, play an instrument, are interested in music technology or want to make visual art! Go to the registration form to rank which group you prefer to be a part of.
INSTRUMENT- AND VOCAL GROUP

We will experiment with different ways of creating new sounds and how to combine these
This group requires some experience in playing instruments or singing (Notion: Bring your own instrument)
VISUAL GROUP

We will learn how to think creatively and learn how to tell stories without words
We will learn about visual compositions and colors, and how our surroundings are effecting us
We will spend one day outside photographing and collecting materials
No previous experience with art is needed
MUSIC TECHNOLOGY GROUP

We will use the app BITWaves to record sounds and manipulate them into different art expressions
The summer school will provide iPads
No previous experience with music or music technology is needed

WHEN AND WHERE
Venue: Fana Kulturhus
When: The first summer school will take place the 31st of July – 4th of August with a closing ceremony 4th of August 2PM
When: The second summer school will take place the 7th - 11th of August with a closing ceremony 11th of August2PM
Time: 10AM – 3PM every day
Specify in the registration form if you want to participate the first or the second week.
A reserved spot will be confirmed by mail.
The summer school will end with a closing ceremony for family and friends at Fana Kulturhus.
The summer school will provide a meal each day
CRITERIAS
-You’re born between 2008 and 2012
-You can participate all five days
-You’re able to work both independently and in groups
Fee: Kr. 449,-*
*Children from families with economical challenges can participate without paying the fee.
