BITWaves – Sound workshop for the whole family
Use the sounds around you to create your own compositions!
We’re hosting a creative workshop for children and people of all ages. At this session you can have fun discovering the sounds around you and trying out the BITWaves app for recording and composition.
Participants will receive introductory tips on how to record sounds around them using the app. They will then head off in groups or pairs around the library on a ‘sound hunt’ to gather interesting sounds which can be used to make a piece of music. Afterwards you’ll put the pieces together in BITWaves to create a composition. These will be played in a mini-concert for library users.
The workshop is led by artistic director Trond Madsen and educator Håkon Skjæret. You can find out more about the BITWaves app here.
The workshop is free although places must be prebooked.
Participants can use their own iPhones, or iPads supplied.
In collaboration with Ultima, Deichman Holmlia and Holmlia Kulturhavn.
Supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
