THE ............. FOREST

Is it possible to tell a fairy tale just by using sound, without even a single word? Does this make the trolls darker and more creepy? Will those seductive Huldra in the forest be even more cunning? Will the fox run faster over the ice? Will they all live happily ever after?

40 school children have had five days to experiment with fairy tales and sounds together with the team from BIT20. Collaborating with two composers, the students have contrived to glean the messages which lurk beneath the lines of their tales. They have delved into how the stories should unfold sonically and have come up with a whole new composition. The title of the piece will also become evident as the music is made. The piece they have composed will be performed at Konsertsirkus! – a Borealis family event for young and old alike.
