Disrupted exotica and a master of avant-garde
A re-visitation of Øyvind Torvund's The Exotica Album, followed by two works by legendary Vinko Globokar makes this a concert a little out of the ordinary in the Bergen Philharmonic concert series.
Øyvind Torvund is one of Norway's most distinctive contemporary composers, and his 2017-composition for BIT20 The Exotica Album is a flirtatious approach to the 50's exotica genre, which allows you to drift away to a deserted island – although with an unexpected twist.
French-Slovenian avant-garde composer Vinko Globokar is something of a legend, and a long-time friend of BIT20. He’s renowned for his playful, energetic music and innovative use of both composition techniques and instruments, and on this evening, the 84-year-old composer also hits the stage as a soloist in one of his own pieces.
Join us for this magical BIT20-evening!
