It’s time for the final concert in BIT20 Ensemble’s critically acclaimed concert series Norden. This time we will delve into Denmark’s contemporary music scene.
New artistic director of BIT20 Ensemble, Bjarni Frímann, has recently moved from Copenhagen to Bergen and has curated a program that will give us a glimpse of what’s moving in Denmark.
The charismatic Icelander, who is also conducting this evening, curated the former Norden-concert that received six hearts from Bergens Tidende:
“Star conductor Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason contributed in making this a great night.”
“Even after three hours of new music I made a personal goosebump-record.”
BIT20 Ensemble’s concert series Norden, saw the dawn of light in 2021. The idea of exploring new, Nordic composition came from former artistic director, Trond Madsen. The series started off with Norway, following up with Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
“BIT20 can’t get enough credit for their Nordic concert series. Previous concerts in the series has given me memorable moments and an insight in what’s moving in the contemporary scene in Sweden and Finland.”
